Dom and Michelle are getting married this summer in the Outer Banks, and I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot their engagement photos. Dom and Michelle met while doing volunteer work with Greater DC Cares, an organization that they had separately volunteered with every year. They were painting a color coded map of the United States on a playground at a DC elementary school, and from there their story unfolds. If you ever watch romantic comedies, this is basically their lives – a true love story.
Michelle’s first memory of meeting Dom is that, “I could tell he was interested in me because he picked the same colored pink paint and was following me around the map! I thought he was funny and had gorgeous blue eyes. He thought he was being smooth, but I was on to him. I was happy though – I liked him too. We were together from that day on.”
Dom and Michelle are one of the happiest couples I’ve ever met, and they were a pleasure to work with. We started our shoot in Reston Town Center, a place that is special to both of them. It was so fun to get to know this very sweet, unique couple as we walked around the shopping center with their dog, Honey. The photos show just how smitten these two are for each other, and I’m so honored to capture part of their story.

It’s Over Prods Photography has been steadily building its base of clients and events, so I figured that It’s Over Prods Photography needs to build as well, and a logo redesign is part of this growth. First and foremost, I’m not a business man; I’m more a creative artist first, and then an entrepreneur at best. With the help of my designer, Erica, we were able to create a new logo to represent It’s Over Prods Photography with my name embedded in it. Here’s a “before” look at the logo that I have been using, and the redesign. I hope you like this exciting start to a new and larger It’s Over Prods Photography.

The place that I live at is very dog friendly and when I had Brody, I’ve met so many different dogs and their owners. I’ve shot some owners and their dogs at this complex (here and here) and now I get to share one of the birthdays that I was recently at. I met Jinny through her dog, Stella, a Pomeranian and Yorkshire terrier mix. It was Jinny’s birthday and we had an amazing neighborhood cook out with great food and great animals all around. I wanted to post some of the images and say happy birthday Jinny (I never got an image of her because every time I had my camera out, she went the opposite direction).

I’ve shot family portraits before with Taylor and her family but recently, she just had a birthday with a Princess Jasmine theme party. There’s no denying it, the number of kids that came to Taylor’s birthday party had a blast with the theme and I’m glad I was able to capture that moment with Taylor and her friends. The theme included the kids having a sing-a-long, face painting, and most importantly, cupcakes. The memories of being young all over again.

I was so excited to shoot Patty and Renzo’s wedding on March 10th. I met this lovely couple from a past wedding that I shot and I kept in touch with them. So, when Renzo contacted me and asked me to shoot their wedding, I was so honored! We traveled to three different locations in Old Town Alexandria and had their ceremony at Carlyle House Historic Park. There was just so much love and happiness during their ceremony. The reception kept the happiness vibe going through laughter and the amazing food that we had at La Tasca. There were some great speeches and tons of laughter throughout. It was a great day and my sincerest congratulations to you both!
